Your participation helps to enable volunteer doctors & paramedics to respond to patients on behalf of the Ambulance Service.

Course contents
Each emergency life support course includes
Unconscious casualty
How to assess and respond to a person that is unconscious. Includes the recovery position.
Suspected Heart Attack
Signs of how to detect a possible heart attack. Initial actions and priorities.
Choking
Recogition of choking and immediate actions.
CPR
Chest compression techniques to buy time in the event of cardiac arrest.
Defibrillation
Use of community automated defibrillators with real time practise.
Bleed control
How to manage serious life threatening bleeding.
